Position Summary
The Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) plays a critical role in ensuring client environments are aligned with Executech’s technical standards. Leveraging the TruMethods framework, the TAM conducts regular technical assessments, documents misalignments, and collaborates closely with vCIOs and service teams to drive remediation efforts. This proactive role helps ensure clients receive secure, efficient, and standardized IT service by managing technical risk and maintaining alignment across the client base.

The Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) plays a critical role in ensuring client environments are aligned with Executech’s technical standards. Leveraging the TruMethods framework, the TAM conducts regular technical assessments, documents misalignments, and collaborates closely with vCIOs and service teams to drive remediation efforts. This proactive role helps ensure clients receive secure, efficient, and standardized IT service by managing technical risk and maintaining alignment across the client base.
- Deliver audit findings and technical recommendations to the vCIO in preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs); attend QBRs as needed
- Perform comprehensive technical assessments based on MSP-defined best practices, focusing on:
- Networking infrastructure
- Security and compliance
- Data backup and disaster recovery
- Microsoft 365 configuration
- Endpoint management and patching
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation in IT Glue or equivalent systems
- Identify and document technical risks, misalignments, and deviations from MSP standards
- Use tools such as Liongard and Auvik to monitor, assess, and track client environments
- Generate internal tickets and/or project scopes to address misalignments (focus on visibility, not remediation)
- Track and report on client alignment scores and trends over time
- Collaborate with vCIOs, the service desk, and project teams to coordinate and support remediation efforts
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal technical standards and identify "standard drift" across clients
- Stay current on applicable cybersecurity frameworks, including DISA and NIST
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to the vCIO during strategic planning and account development
- 3–5 years of experience in IT service delivery, system administration, or technical consulting (MSP experience strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of common SMB IT environments (servers, networking, M365, backup, security)
- Experience with documentation tools such as IT Glue, ConnectWise, Ninja or similar platforms
- Familiarity with TruMethods or similar client success frameworks is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends and technical risks
- Ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
- Any certifications are highly preferred.
- This is primarily a remote role, with onsite visits to customer locations as needed.
