The Director of Cloud Services is the technical business leader for Utah’s fast-growing Cloud Services Department. The Cloud Services team serves new and current clients in all things cloud, including cloud planning, migration, architecture and development, and optimization. This group is mainly focused on Microsoft Azure, but will help Executech-Utah grow its AWS and Google cloud offerings. The right candidate will also have a passion for and understanding of AI, specifically Microsoft CoPilot. The Director of Cloud Services is responsible for ensuring employee, client, and business success. This means that he or she should be (i) a people-first leader that will work hard to develop and support all team members, (ii) comfortable building and maintaining relationships with current clients as well as prospective clients, and (iii) committed to organizing and leading the team in an efficient, effective and profitable manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Direct and manage Executech Utah’s team of Cloud Engineers
- Develop, manage and execute the plan for growing the cloud business in Utah, which may include:
- Supporting and managing Executech Utah’s cloud services offerings
- Partnering with Executech leaders, marketing and sales department on navigating the Microsoft landscape and opportunities
- Identify the service opportunities related to cloud that align with customer needs and growing our solution set to meet those needs
- Provide readiness resources and training to support staff
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop practical and aspirational goals for the cloud practice, track progress against those goals
- Provide Senior Level Engineer and Technical Support for Staff and Clients
- Support strategic business development opportunities as a cloud sales overlay for Sales, including:
- Vision and strategy
- Help facilitate Webinars on cloud and AI
- Business case development
- Business needs/ requirements definition
- Proposal development
- Etc.
- Drive cloud adoption and cross-selling of new cloud services with our sales team within our installed base
- Analyze and report on our cloud business to help identify insights that can be turned into actions to improve revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction
- Proactively co-manage client relationships with the Client Success team, becoming a trusted advisor to key cloud customers
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Required:
- 8+ years of experience at a technology or consulting/services firm in a cloud services role
- Prior experience and familiarity with the MSP industry
- Hold / Held certifications for Azure and M365 related services
- Hold/ Held certifications for AWS and Google Cloud
- Experience performing consulting engagements (whether professional or managed services)
- Experience with CoPilot and other AI platforms
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across various internal departments and stakeholders
- Proven ability to interact well with clients and prospects, including partnering with sales teams to pitch consulting services, addressing client concerns, and presenting assessment findings and recommended remediation plans

- Active Microsoft Azure certifications
- Prior experience managing a team
- Prior experience working with small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
