OVERVIEW
We are a leading Managed Service Provider looking for a Partner Success Manager (PSM) to be the main point of contact for our partners. You are the owner of your book of business — ensuring they are satisfied, stay with us, and grow. A PSM must learn our partner’s needs and goals, solving problems with appropriate IT solutions, and delivering clear business value. You’ll provide high-level IT guidance and help align technology with partners’ long-term plans. To our partners, you are the IT expert.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deeply understand partner’s business, goals, and challenges so you can identify problems and recommend practical technology solutions.
- Advocate for partner priorities inside our company, ensuring the right teams are mobilized to resolve issues quickly.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to partners, including conversations with C-level and other decision makers, to align IT with their business plans.
- Hold regular Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) to present IT roadmaps that connect technology investments to business outcomes — not just metrics, but real strategy and value.
- Work with subject-matter experts to create and explain proactive recommendations on new technologies and industry trends.
- Coordinate with technical teams to build IT budgets and lifecycle roadmaps that balance operational needs and strategic growth.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with partner stakeholders by listening, documenting needs, and proposing effective solutions.
- Monitor partner health (ticket times, satisfaction, renewal risk, etc.), address risks proactively, and prevent escalations using agreed tools and processes.
- Share clear updates on projects, key changes, and lifecycle outcomes with partners and internal teams.
- Keep partner records up to date in the CRM (pain points, goals, budgets, roadmaps, and interaction history) to support planning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology preferred. Candidates with relevant, proven experience will also be considered.
- Experience: 3+ years in a partner-facing role, with experience in account management, strategic planning, partner relationship building, and identifying business needs, preferably within an MSP or IT services environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with a variety of stakeholders and explaining how IT supports business goals.
- Proven account-management and problem-solving skills focused on partner satisfaction, retention, and outcomes.
- Ability to communicate technical conversations to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with MSP platforms like ConnectWise and Lifecycle Insights (or similar tools) for account management, reporting, and lifecycle planning is ideal
- The ability to identify partner pain points and develop actionable IT strategies.
- Excellent organization and time management to handle multiple partner accounts and competing priorities.
- Detail-oriented: you track and record important information accurately and catch the small details. For your application to be considered, mention your favorite local restaurant (in application or cover letter)
- Analytical and curious: you explore alternatives and look for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work autonomously without extensive oversight
